Content
- Within the course, the active participation of students will address the following disputes between Slovenia and other countries:
- The Trieste Conflict (1947-1954) – the border dispute with Italy; the final settlement of the dispute with the Osimo Treaty.
- The dispute with Italy on compensation for the property of the optants was settled by the so-called Spanish compromise.
- The dispute with Italy on the implementation of the provisions of the Osimo Treaty on the Rights of the Slovenian Minority in Italy.
- The dispute with Italy on a gas terminal in the Gulf of Trieste.
- The dispute with Austria on the return of property to Austrian citizens and denationalization.
- The dispute over the implementation of the provisions of the Austrian State Treaty (Articles 7 and 6).
- The dispute over bilingual topographical inscriptions in S. Carinthia.
- The arrangement of succession issues between the successors of the SFRY:
- The Vienna Treaty of 2000
- Regulation of issues before the conclusion of the Vienna Treaty.
- Resolving the border issue with Croatia
- Bilateral negotiations
- Drnovšek – Račan Agreement
- International Arbitration.
- Dispute with Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina on guarantees for the debts of Ljubljanska banka savers.
- The settlement of disputes with Croatia regarding the co-ownership of the Krško NPP.
- Study one dispute before the ICJ, e.g. BiH against Serbia on genocide.
