Legal regulation of intellectual property rights:
– Industrial property rights.
– Copyright and related rights.
– System of conventions and other international treaties and national laws.
– TRIPS and WTO Agreements.
Intellectual property rights and EC law:
– Principles: Free movement of goods and intellectual property rights; Protection of the specific subject-matter; Existence and enforcement of intellectual property rights; Exhaustion of intellectual property rights.
Copyright and related rights:
– General characteristics of copyright and related rights
Basics of international protection:
– Berne Convention; World Universal Copyright Convention; Rome Convention for the Protection of Post-creators, Producers of Phonograms and Broadcasting Organizations; Phonographic Convention; Copyright treaties; Treaty on the execution and phonograms; TRIPS Agreement.
Licensing of intellectual property rights in EC law:
– Licensing and competition law (rule of reason); Restrictive (limiting) provisions in the license agreement and Regulation on technology transfer.
