Content (Syllabus outline)
– Definition of human resource management.
– Staff recruitment procedure and selection of candidates for the post.
– The impact of organizational and workplace environment on the satisfaction, performance and excellence of employees.
– Communication in the organizational environment, types and forms of communication.
– Motivation and motivational theories.
– Rewarding employees.
– Organization management and definition of basic terms: hierarchical relationships, power, authority and influence in the organization.
– Characteristics of good leaders.
– Using different types and forms of power in the management: the power of rewards, coercion, legitimate and charismatic power, the power of interdependence, integrated power management.
– Emotional intelligence and its impact on organizational climate and culture.
– Management and protocol of the meetings in the organization.
– Conducting interviews and annual interviews with employees.
– Types, forms, purpose and importance of individual work, work in pairs, group and team work and cooperation.
– Conflicts, their incidence, prevention and resolution of conflicts in work organizations.
– The incidence of violence and violence prevention in the workplace.
– The impact of ICT on communication, leadership and interpersonal relations within the organization.
– Protocol participation of employees in the organization and cooperation with the community.
– Development of human resources in organizations – learning organizations, lifelong learning and the knowledge society.
– Responsibilities and rights and the protection of the rights of employees.
– Basic knowledge for independent research and project work on the subject of human resource management: fundamentals research approaches and professional texts writing.

Objectives and competences
The purpose of this course is to define the concept of human resource management. The objectives of the course learning units Human Resource Management are to identify and define the relationships between employees in the organization in terms of staffing, management and interaction of employees in the organization and in the environment.
The main purpose and objective of the course is that students learn the concepts of:
– Human resource management and human resource management processes
– Recruitment of staff
– Motivation and motivational processes
– Organizational behavior
– Conflicts between employees
– Meeting management
– Management of annual interviews
– Culture of the organization
– Management and power management
– Teamwork
– Emotional intelligence
– The impact of ICTs on relationships and business
– Human Resources Development and learning of the organisation
– Safe working environment in terms of human rights.
Intended learning outcomes
Student:
– Learns the general concepts of recruitment and human resource systems.
– Learns about the system of recruitment of personnel, management meetings and annual interviews.
– Learns about the general concepts of leadership, leaders and power management.
– Defines the motivational factors and the meaning and form of employee remuneration.
– Learns about the forms of communication and the advantages and disadvantages of individual work, pair work, group and team work, and their entanglement in work processes.
– Understands the importance of cooperation across the formation and prevention and conflict resolution processes in the workplace and in the organization.
– Gains knowledge of protocol communication systems in the organization, knowledge to determine and identify the responsibilities, violence and the protection of workers’ rights in the organization.
– Understands aspects of the importance of different types and forms of knowledge and the importance of human resource development and competitiveness of the organization.
– Acquires basic skills for independent and autonomous approaches to scientific, project and research work on the subject of human resource management.
Learning and teaching methods
– Lectures with students active participation (presentation, discussion, questions, examples, problem solving);
– Individual and group research, project and course work;
– Individual and / or group consultations (discussion, additional explanation, specific questions).
– Remote collaborative work with the help of ICT.
