Content (Syllabus outline)
In the first part the course explains the social significance and the role of criminal procedural law, the relationship between substantive and procedural criminal law, the historical development of criminal procedure and basic principles of criminal procedure. In the second part the students are acquainted with the subjects of criminal procedure and the object of criminal proceedings. Students are also acquainted with the procedural acts of establishing facts in criminal proceedings, evidence, clues, inspection, and house search. The course deals with the entire procedure of criminal proceeding from pre-trial to the charge.

Objectives and competences
The course introduces students to the legal thinking and legal terminology. It represents a fundamental introductory course to the study of law.
